Healthy Home Cleaning Habits

At Windsor Home Cleaning we want to give your home the cleaning it deserves, all while keeping your family safe and healthy. However, we understand that most of our clients will have us do a deep cleaning of their house only a few times a month. Which means you’ll need to take care of some small cleaning tasks in between your scheduled cleanings. The following are a few tips to keep your home healthy and clean.

Windows – A lot of new homes are made to be efficient, especially when it comes to keeping outdoor air outside. This means less fresh air coming in to your home. Every once and awhile you should open your windows to let fresh air in to your home to keep it from being too stuffy and so you can breathe easier.

Dust – Whenever you are dusting your home it is best to use microfiber cloths to trap dust instead of letting it become released back into the air. You can also limit the amount of dust in your home by removing clutter and keeping your home tidy.

Bedroom – You spend a lot of time in your bedroom, so keeping it clean is the best thing you can do. This will keep your mind at ease and create a positive cleaning habit for you.

Natural Cleaners – Using cleaners with chemicals can be toxic and cause breathing problems and other health issues. Instead, it’s best to use natural and green cleaning solutions.

Top Down – If you are cleaning your home between home cleaning visits it’s best to start from top and work your way down. You can focus on shelves, cabinets and blinds first, which will then allow for the dust to settle in the room before you start cleaning the floors.
